My Oily Journey with Doterra essential Oils

I first started using essential oils in the late 1980s. Yip, that long ago! I began using them for my children, myself and my family, then extended them for my clients. In addition to the intuitive abilities and life-learnings I use in my clairvoyant work and my empowerment courses, I also use crystals and essential oils as tools.

My recipes for essential oils over the decades

We created blends to help with digestion, to keep ratty teenagers under control, and we used them to calm and soothe emotions when people were hurting. If you’d like to know more about how I use essential oils, get in touch.

Essential oils for skin

Being the eco warrior I was back then, I used essential oils to clean the house. I had exceptionally sensitive skin and was prone to eczema, so I created a balm from an old Victorian cold cream recipe I had found using beeswax, sweet almond oil, and pure essential oils. These made an amazing balm, and depending on what essential oils you used, as to what areas you would use them in.

While creating these recipes, I discovered how wonderful this blend was, healing the eczema on my hands. The man next to me, was a printer and had lots of cuts on his hands which would get infected. And once he started using the lavender balm, the cuts began to heal a lot faster. His wife was very impressed!

Essential oils for tired muscles

By changing some of the ingredients used in the lavender blend, the body builders at the gym said using it on their strained muscles, helped reduce healing time by a third. They were ecstatic!

Essential oils for pain

A retiree who worked out at the gym, phoned me crying because she had run out of her lavender blend. She had a hip replacement and found the lavender blend made it easier for her to get in and out of her campervan. They were going away and she needed more, she couldn’t live without it.

Pure essential oils of Doterra

Moving forward to today, my oily journey has connected me with the pure essential oils of Doterra. When I hold these bottles of pure essential oils in my hand, I can feel the pure essence within them. To me, they are little bottles of magic.

With these new oils, I have extended my oily repertoire, to encompass not only using them in a diffuser or making balms, but to making beautiful scrubs for the face, hands and body, creating roller balls to help with easing pain and inflammation in the body, as well as balancing Chakras and soothing moods.
